Sanskrit Alphabet Practice



Guidelines

  1. Click Full Screen (right bottom corner) - The view will change to Fullscreen. To exit the Fullscreen view and return to this page press Esc (top left key on your keyboard).
  2. The page is divided into three sections:
    1. Lower Section — Selection Area
      • Mouse over the Devanagari letters to see the Roman transliteration
      • Select a single letter: Click on it
      • Select multiple letters: Click and drag across them
      • To repeat the same selection, click Play or reselect the letters
    2. Middle Section — Control Area
      • Roman — Show or hide the Roman transliteration
      • Sound — Turn audio pronunciation on or off
      • Articulation — Show or hide the articulation point
      • Delay (sec) — Set the pause between letter pronunciations
      • Letter Repetition — Number of times each letter repeats
      • Selection Repetition — Number of times the full selection repeats
    3. Upper Section — Display Area
      • Shows the selected Devanagari letter (center)
      • Displays its Roman transliteration (left)
      • Indicates the point of articulation (right)
